Project CiteCase

What Is Project CiteCase ?

We are a small team of lawyers and students of law who are passionate about legal research and case-law reading. Our mission is to make lawyers stay updated with latest Supreme Court judgments ! This project was started last year (2024) by Advocate Ashok Kini, a lawyer practicing in the High Court of Kerala.

To put it briefly, this is what we do in our project:

  1. In CaseCiter.com, we report the judgments of the Supreme Court of India. We share our notes on all aspects of each judgment on this website. We have notes from the year 2024.
  2. In CiteCase.in, we have notes of SC judgments since 2025 sorted subject wise for you to browse through. So if you want to know the latest judgment on a particular subject [like CPC, CrPC, Constitution etc.], you can just login to this website and read our updated notes on it.
  3. In our Whatsapp Community, we share PDFs of monthly and daily digests of SC judgments. Monthly Digests are shared on the first Sunday of every month. Our Daily Digests, which will help you stay up to date on SC case laws, will be shared on all working days after 9pm.
  4. In our drive, we have stored our monthly digests archives from the year 2024 !

When you subscribe, you will get access ! Further, your subscription helps us sustain this project !

Why Should You Subscribe?

Judges & Advocates: Article 141 of the Constitution of India reads as follows: The law declared by the Supreme Court shall be binding on all courts within the territory of India. This also means that all Courts should be aware of all the caselaws of the Supreme Court. This further implies that the judicial officers and judges who preside over these Courts and Advocates (who are officers of the Court) should know all the caselaws. The Supreme Court delivers around 1000 judgments per year. That means around 80 judgments per month or 4 judgments per day. If a judge or a lawyer or a law student reads these notes, he/she can stay updated.

Law Students: Supreme Court often reiterates many basic concepts of law in its judgments. So when you read its judgments regularly, you are learning and relearning these concepts and that will help you in your exams. Further, every law student is a future lawyer and keeping yourself updated with caselaws will help you when you start your career as an intern or junior lawyer.

How will you access our digests?

You will be added to our Whatsapp community where we will be sharing our SC Daily Digests on every working day. SC Monthly digests will be shared in the community on or before the first Sunday of each month.
